He is the promised Christ who came and died on the cross for our sins. He is the resurrected Lord who ascended to heaven and promised he would come back.
When he comes back, he will bring all things to an end and establish his eternal kingdom where righteousness reigns. This is a sure promise that he left us. Have you ever wondered what eternity with Jesus will be like? Can you imagine living without an end where there will be no more pain, death, or sorrow (Rev 21:4; Jn14:13)?
But only those whose names are written in the Book of Life of God can enter his kingdom. And who are these people? Those who have repented and committed to follow Jesus. Are you one of them? The present world and its systems will pass away in fire (2Pet.3:10; Matt 24:2). Christ’s second coming will be sudden and terrible for those who refused to believe in him but a great joy for those who have experienced God’s forgiveness through Christ and awaiting his coming.
But God desires everyone to live with Jesus in his kingdom (1 Tim 2:4). So, God has made a way by sending Jesus Christ, who accepted our punishment and paid the price for our sin on the cross where His blood was shed. Now the entrance into God’s blessing of eternal life is available to those who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
Jesus is waiting to reach out to you now. You can experience his salvation now. Do you believe this? Why don’t you call on Jesus by saying the prayer below? ‘For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved’ Rom.10:13
‘God, I confess that I have sinned against you, and I deserve the penalty. I believe Jesus Christ died on the cross so that I could be forgiven. I believe he rose from the dead so that I could be justified. Therefore, I open my heart to receive Him as my Lord and Saviour.’
