God is love, and the undeniable proofs of his wonderful love are overwhelming through history. The climax of the demonstration and proof of his love was when He sent Jesus Christ to die on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins to redeem humanity more than 2000 years ago. ‘But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners..For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life’ Rom5.8,Jn3.16. God’s love was revealed at Calvary where He paid dearly for our sins with the life of His Son, Jesus Christ- the highest price he could pay. The cross represents the undeniable proof of God’s love where Jesus laid down his life as a sacrifice for us, the guilty sinners. There he took the full punishment for our sins and made way for us to be forgiven.
‘Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.’Matt.11:28-29
These are what Jesus does when he is allowed to step in. He brings life to the dead, light to the darkness, he restores broken-hearted, gives hope to the hopeless, strength to the weary, healing and miracles erupt! Above all, he sets free from the weight of guilt and sin and offers forgiveness and gift of eternal life to everyone who comes to put their trust in him. This is the greatest miracle that can ever happen to an anyone-the miracle of salvation. More than twenty-five years ago when I invited Jesus Christ into my life, he turned my life around. Everything changed. Well, I don’t know where you stand, or what struggles you may have or mind-boggling issues that may bother you, the reason you may have while you don’t believe, but one thing I’m very sure of is that Jesus is still waiting and knocking to be let in into your heart, No one loves you as he does. Even though you and I messed up, gone astray and separated from God because of our sin and disobedience yet, he came to save us by dying on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and, therefore, made it possible for us to be forgiven and brought back into relationship with God. No religious leader could die for your sins; none of the religious leader ever rose from the dead. They all died, and their bones decayed in the soil, but only Jesus died and rose again. He showed his supremacy and victory over death and grave. Based on these undeniable proofs, you can count on him to save you. Only him can save your soul. Why don’t you give him a chance? ‘There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.’
